2006 Advances in Adhesive & Dispensing Technologies
Henkel Loctite had made several advances in adhesive technologies over the past year. The new advances which will be shared by Will Kirkman at the SAMPE dinner. New Technologies to be discussed include:
1- New, light activated, delayed cured, cationic Epoxy technology.
2-New, visible only, light cure technology's. (Silicones, fully cured to a 2" depth in under 2-min).
3- New, impact resistant & flexible cyanoacrylates technology.
4- New, peristaltic & positive displacements dispense systems.
Will Kirkman has been aiding design engineers in adhesive and mold release specification
and selection for 12-years. He has spent the past 6-years with the worlds largest
adhesive manufacture " Henkel Loctite". Prior to being acquired by
Henkel Corporation, Mr Kirkman worked for "Dexter Hysol", as the western
states Sales Engineer for Frekote Mold Release and Hysol Epoxy Products.
Will is a native to Utah, and Utah composite industry. He still maintains his
office in Sanpete county (Sterling) were he began his career working for the
Ashton family at "Wasatch Technologies" building load bearing, filament
wound composite structures.
