As the Mirror Image Aerospace CEO, and TCB Composite Company Vice President, Mr. Crookston is responsible for new composite part development and related assemblies. TCB Composite Inc. has earned 38 difficult to receive FAA approved Standard Type Certificates for composite aircraft parts that fit over 160 different aircraft types.
He designed and created the composite “Skywalker” Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) Aircraft that received 1st place in the Invention Category last year in the Utah “Best of State” awards.
Mr. Crookston’s twenty-five years in aerospace composite manufacturing provides knowledge regarding design characteristics, detailed pattern configuration, airflow analysis, complex prototype or production tooling, control surfaces, and mechanical drive systems.
He has served as Chairman of the Board, CEO, and Director of Sales at Contour Composites, which spans a 17-year period. During this tenure, Mr. Crookston was influential in the success of many aerospace, general aviation, and government contracts. He studied Manufacturing Engineering at Weber State University, received a Bachelor of Science at Utah State University, and completed an MBA at the University of Phoenix in 1998.
Currently, he is delighted and honored to be part of the Davis Applied Technology College faculty, where he is involved in starting the Composite Materials Technology Program.
