Wasatch Front Materials Expo (WFME)

at the Scholarship Room,
Rice Eccles Stadium Towers,
University of Utah.

What is it?

The WFME is an opportunity to bring the Wasatch Front Materials and Engineering Community together at a tabletop exhibition of all the major suppliers of the Advanced Materials industry. They will meet in a casual, relaxed atmosphere with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks as an open forum for discussion and discovery. Each sponsor will have a tabletop for exhibiting his or her products and services. There will be drawings for door prizes. Engineers from every discipline will be invited (whether members of SAMPE or not) and we expect a healthy contingent of students and professors from the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, Utah State University as well as other universities and technology colleges.

How much participation do you anticipate this year?
We are targeting 40+ sponsors in attendance and 350 guests with accommodations for as many as 400. Last year was our third year for the Wasatch Front Materials Expo. We had 41 Sponsors and an attendance of about 300 guests at this same venue at the University of Utah.

When and where will it be held?
The Wasatch Front Materials Expo will be held Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 at the Scholarship Room, Rice Eccles Stadium Towers, University of Utah.

Are there any other benefits to sponsorship?
Yes. As a sponsor of the Utah Chapter of SAMPE you will also receive a business card-sized advertisement on the Utah SAMPE web page. The ad will include an easy hyperlink to your email address and a hyperlink to your web page, if you have one. Your ad and hyperlinks will be placed on the web page upon receipt of your sponsorship contribution and run continuously through December of 2010. The web site is: www.utahsampe.org

How much does sponsorship cost?
Simple sponsorship (an ad on the web site through December 2010) costs $300.00. Web site sponsorship AND a tabletop exhibit at the WFME is only $400.00. If you market your business to the Wasatch Front, you can easily afford to be a sponsor.

Do I have to be a member of the Utah SAMPE Chapter to participate?
No, there are no membership requirements attached to the WFME, but there is certainly additional exposure to be gained from regular involvement in the Utah SAMPE Chapter functions like the other five to seven meetings held each year at various venues around the valley. Many of our meetings are free, being subsidized by funds that were earned by the Utah SAMPE Chapter involvement in International Conferences or contributed by sponsors like you.

How do I reserve my tabletop?
Call or e-mail and express your interest and we will e-mail an invoice to you. Upon receipt of your contribution you will be added to the sponsorship page of the chapter web site and your reservation will be confirmed for the WFME.

When do I need to make my decision?
Obviously, the sooner the better. The sooner we have your contribution the sooner you have your listing on the web site and the longer you have that exposure. We also need adequate time to plan the event. We are asking that you express your interest to us by February 18, 2010 and that we have your contribution by February 25, 2010. This will insure adequate time to make our arrangements at the University of Utah.
